Audioscrobbler

My buddy Jason turned me onto audioscrobbler and it’s pretty cool. You link it up with your audio player and it logs the music you listen to, then finds you similar artists to the ones you like and similar people who like music like you.

It’s a pretty neat way to get turned onto new music.

Beware of Xanga. It's the weblog equivalent of Oprah. Seems nice on the outside, but deep down in the heart, there is only darkness.

Also, check out http://indy.tv/
This is another web ap, but this one streams free indy music to you, and as you rate what you hear, it attempts to learn what you like and stream more music to you that it thinks you'll dig. All small label indy stuff. I havne't had a chance to try it out yet, but should be cool. All OSs too.

Hey Emily. Good to hear from you. At least ONE of the Vanlandinghams is cool enough to catch up with me. Email me sometime and let me know what's up with you. Just click on the "contact the sweater" link at the bottom of the right column.

this audioscrobble program seems like a great way to never get into different kinds of music. just get in the stream, man, and go with the flow. other lakes rivers streams and ponds can go to hell, right?

uh, why did I just write that? here's my chance to delete it. screw it. let the idiocy flow. going to audioscrobbler now, to apologize.

Yeah, I guess it's not about finding different styles of music, but maybe other bands in the style of music you enjoy.

I hear ya.
